OPPOSITING THE OPPOSITION

In the democratic set up of our country the politicians have got the major responsibility to give direction to the country. Once we (The citizens) have selected the representatives for the parliament / state assembly, we lose our power and are left to the mercies of the politicians.
Please recall the recent behaviour of our politicians in the parliament and ask which direction our opposition parties are leading to? The Democratic set up of our country allows two sides — Treasury benches and the opposition. While the Government performs and acts on some principles and programs, it is the job of the opposition to keep an eye on the Government and point out flaws / deviations / shortcoming at regular intervals.
This is what the opposition parties are supposed to do….. but actually, what they are doing? Only hooliganism, disruption and wastage of precious time of the nation! This is National waste and therefore must be recognized and those responsible for it must be penalized. I wish that the opposition leaders should have courage to appreciate and support whatever is done good by the Government and should suggest suitable, practical changes / amendments if there is any anomaly in the bills put up by the Government.
How at all is it possible that the opposition parties are not able to see even a single good work done by the Government in the last 7 years?? It is their biased attitude and personal vendetta that prevents them from seeing the truth. The Government must enact some legislation so that such wastage of precious time and resources should be prevented.
Let us hope and pray that the opposition leaders shall get wisdom not to waste public time and money.
