Laddakh is incredible and its subdivision Nubra, is around 120 km far from Leh.
Nubra valley is situated approx 10,000 feet (3,000 m) above the sea level at confluence of Shyok and Nubra river, which form a large magnificent valley virtually seprates the ladakh and Karakoram Ranges.
Diskit, is sub town and headquarters of Nubra valley 120km far from Leh .
How to reach Nubra valley ?
We may get a Inner Line Permit to visit Nubra, available online from (https://www.lahdclehpermit.in/) . To reach Nubra valley we have to cross the Khardungla 5359Mtrs ( 17,582 Feet), the record of highest motorable pass in the world.
We can hire a bike for adventure trip or book a cab as per pocket. It is preferable to stay at Nubra for a day and then next day go to Turtuk, the last village of Laddakh.
We must accept the acclimatisation of our body in high altitude and rare density of oxygen there.
Local Attraction?
A vivid culture of Laddakh is appear in Diskit and Hunder famous Buddhist monasteries. The cold desert between Diskit and Hunder are another common attraction for tourists. Here we can enjoy ATB Bike rides for Rs 1000 per person in the valley.
A mesmerizing experience to watch the silver sand dunes and take joyrides on rare Bactrian camels (double hump camels), found here only. The ride costs Rs 300 per person for 15 minutes.
Places to stay in Nubra ?
In Hunder village guesthouses in mid range, provides tents for camping along with food and will be charge a1000Rs each for a group and enjoy the bonfire..
We can also stay at Himalayan Bunkers Hostel, offers camping facility for a budget friendly and surrounded by scenic beauty.
Best Season to go ?
June,July and August is considered the best time to visit.
